A couple weeks ago, we decided to take advantage of our current location in Croatia and check out a more northern area of Italy — the Veneto region. We set our sights on mainly Vicenza and Verona. We are going to do Venice as a separate trip at some point. Venice is super nearby, but there is a lot to do!

How I Plan + Blog Planning

How I Plan + Blog Planning Tips In today’s lifestyle post, I thought I’d share my current planner set-up with you and some blog planning tips. I thought it might be interesting, since I know there are quite a few planner enthusiasts out there!   I’m currently using an A5 Aqua Patent Domino Filofax and Month on 2 Pages inserts from the Etsy shop DearPlanner. In February, I will be using stickers from the Etsy shop MareBareCrafts — these little dewdrops are a lot smaller than the Martha Stewart comparables but are very similar and actually removable, too. My system for blog planning is fairly streamlined at this point. I have to…

I Love You (But You Love Me More) [Editor’s Note: This is a guest post by Melissa Merrett, who is bringing even MORE music to Devotional Diva! Melissa is sharing about her intimate songwriting experience as a Christian musician. I’m so grateful to be exposed to and to be sharing these wonderful Christian artists with you recently and I hope you enjoy their work!] I sat down at my piano to do some songwriting one morning. Florence Cathedral: Churches Around the World

It’s time for another installment of Devotional Diva’s “Churches Around the World” series! Today we’re taking a look at the Florence Cathedral, which is of course in Florence, Italy (or Firenze as the Italians say!). The official name of the church is The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore but it is also known as the Duomo because of the glorious domes that make it so iconic. We enjoyed seeing the Cathedral, and I would recommend it. It’s kind of a must-see in you’re in Florence and not easy to miss! Since we were there in late fall, there was no line to get in. It didn’t take too much…

    The “Perfect” Christian Couple

[Editor’s Note: This a guest post by Tracy Cook. I want to give Tracy a big thank you for bravely sharing her story today. Tracy and her husband were seen as the “perfect” Christian couple, but struggled privately. It’s not always talked about openly enough!] The “Perfect” Christian Couple For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11 NLT Well here goes. I’m not a perfect Christian, I don’t have a perfect life, and now I don’t have a perfect marriage.  Ah there’s the rub… everyone else thought…

    Has Anyone Seen Jesus

Has Anyone Seen Jesus? [Editor’s Note: This is a guest post by Terasha Burrell, wrapping up A Very Diva Christmas! Besides a short post from myself this coming Thursday, that’ll be it! Terasha was not the last person to submit her post, but after reading it I knew it had to be the last guest post in our Christmas series. It’s a wonderful call-to-action to remember who the season is about, and how to share Him with others.] His parents went to Jerusalem every year at the Feast of the Passover. And when He was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem according to the custom of the feast. When…

All of these devotionals are inspired by the Christmas story — here’s Carla’s take on how to “Have Yourself a Mary Little Christmas…”] A few years ago I wrote an Advent devotional entitled “Have Yourself a Mary Little Christmas.” I was convicted regarding my role in making Christmas “merry” for my family and wanted to go back to the first Christmas and see where maybe I was getting things wrong. ” I took a look at the very first…
