Prayer for the Weary Parent
But at the same time, I'm weary. It's hard to be a parent, to make decisions that aren't easy and won't make me popular. It's difficult to enforce the rules, day after day, to monitor behavior and ask them to pick things up and remind them to do homework and to not take it personally every time they resist.

Becoming a Diva – Devote Yourself
As Devotional Diva gains new followers, I want to let everyone know that YOU can have your story published on Devotional Diva! We love guest bloggers over here and want to give everyone the chance to help spur other women forward. DD is always growing and changing, and so can guest posts! In the past, most guest posts have truly been devotionals. However, I opened up submissions to videos, music and other mediums in 2014. Negativity Detox
When I remember to stop the negative thoughts and focus on something else, life doesn't seem as difficult. I don't have the same weight upon my shoulders.

The New Devotional Diva…
I am the New Devotional Diva? Of course, I already knew that before Renee's blog post. But it is just such a strange and wonderful thing to read! (I also love the photo Renee used in her post.) She has permanently given me the reigns over here at Devotional Diva! God led us both to this, and it feels really really right.

What Doesn’t Kill Us…
What Doesn’t Kill Us Makes Us Stronger [editor’s note: This is a guest post from Devotional Diva alum Sophia Reed!] How many times have you sat in a situation thinking that there is no way out of it? We think about the promises of God, but wonder why it does not apply in our situation. To answer this question I look to some of the prominent figures in the Bible. David, who was known for being a man after God’s own heart. Esther, a small-town girl who became a queen of one of the biggest empires, or Ruth who finally got her Boaz. So often we look at the end…
