“Jesus, I thank You that You love Joelle so much.  She is so special to You.  I thank You, Holy Spirit that You work in her heart.  Please help her to obey Mommy and Daddy; it makes You so happy when she obeys.  Please make Yourself real to her.  Thank you for my beautiful little girl.  She is such a gift to Daddy and me, and we love her so much.  Thank you that You have such good plans for her.”

    Bible Plan Recs for Fall

    September 5, 2017 /

Can you believe summer is already over? (womp womp) Unless you're a southern hemisphere Diva ready for spring! I've been really into the Bible Gateway App's reading plans (not an ad, and I know many of you have the app too!) so I wanted to share some of my recent favorites. These are like little Bible studies you can do on your phone. They have devotional and accompanying scriptures. You may recall I mentioned loving the plan Soul Detox last year.

    A Cat Named Mascot

    August 31, 2017 /

Over the past year and a half, I began to study closely the life of Mascot—his going out and coming in, and my husband’s interactions with him, and his with my husband. It has been during these times that the Holy Spirit ministered to me that the relationship between Mascot and my husband can be compared to our relationship with God. There are two very important similarities.

    Reunited

    August 8, 2017 /

Due to a deployment, my husband was separated from me and my son for four months. We just recently reunited in the States (where my son and I were). To be honest, becoming a family unit once again is an adjustment. We just traveled back to Europe, too, and are whooped (a full day of flying + 11 hours of driving to get to our final destination).

Inspiration for the Creative: Push Yourself

    August 1, 2017 /

As a creative individual, I often find myself frustrated with my work. I feel as if it is not making the impact I wish it would. I think perhaps a large part of this common frustration found in the creative life is the cocoon of comfort we envelop around our everyday.
